Hello! Thanksgiving postcards, part 2. I have to say, I'm particularly fond of the pumpkin apocalypse. In part because I had to cross a busy highway to get it, and got honked at while I shooting it, and only shot 3 images of the scene, but also in part because it just seems so evocative of the end of fall and the onset of winter in the Pacific Northwest. These are the rejected pumpkins, the ones that didn't get picked out of the field for Halloween jack 'o lanterns. They were just left to rot, and the field flooded. It's not autumn any more, folks, it's winter. Finally, this last shot was taken in my shower. I'm going to title it something like, "steamy," or "sex" or something like that. :) -Rafe PS. You know, now that I look at that last shot again, I think there should be a hand pressed up against the other side of the glass. That would be fun. Tags: autumn, field, images, pumpkins, winter

Since I went to the zoo anyway to do the steampunk shoot, I decided to spend some extra time afterwards walking around and seeing the animals. Here are my favorite shots: My favorite by far is the last image, which really requires clicking on to make it large for the full impact. You should do that now. -Rafe PS. Okay, so the squirrel wasn't technically an animal in the zoo per se, although it was certainly in the zoo, and an animal. One who had become pretty accustomed to people feeding him.
